I bought these knowing that most incense has a very strong odor so I wasn't expecting much. I never even needed to open the bags they came in...could tell immediately that they were too strong & soapy smelling. Yuck!We've gotten several different backflow incense cones that work well for backflow burners, but smell absolutely horrid. It put us off backflow incense for a while, but we decided to try some again so we got these ones. They smell great both in the box and while burning! They worked beautifully in our backflow burners and created a lot of flowing smoke.If you are a bit new to backflow burners/incense or if you are having problems make sure that your incense burner's hole is clean and clear, they can become blocked, narrow, and or dirty and not allow the proper flow of smoke through them. Second make sure that when you place your backflow incense on the burner that the hole is aligned properly, sometimes you just need to scooch it over a smidge to get a better alignment and get that smoke flowing. Third, make sure your burner is not near an open window, any cross breeze, airflow from a fan, vent, or near a return. These will change the flow of air around the burner and may disrupt the smoke. Also, remember they don't immediately smoke from the bottom they need to burn down a ways before the smoke begins to flow downwards. Our burned beautifully and provided a great smoke stream from three different backflow burners, they do work well and if your's don't it's likely one of the above issues all of which are pretty easy to fix.DANGEROUS!!!!! Do NOT buy if you have pets!!!!!!!Not sure what is in these but it gave my very, large dog a bad respiratory infection after burning 1 sandalwood cone in a 1000 square foot room, with the windows open.I love these back flow incense cones. I got the assortment with patchouli,lavender,sandalwood and rose. Though I have never been a fan of floral scents, the rose is not bad.Incense very weak compared to other brands incense,burn time about 30min.+or -,last few minutes of burn no scent and no smoke.I guess you mostly pay for the shape of the incense.I burn with very little to no air movement.Of course the choice is yours.These certainly burn well and the smoke does what it should do in my burner. The scents are quite nice. I had this burning on my computer table and noticed that the smoke left an oily film on my pc screen and on the table top which was difficult to remove. I moved it to a bookshelf and the amount of oil from the smoke that had gone on the underside of the shelf above was horrendous. Like all of these cones (I’ve yet to find an exception) the after smell is like a smouldering ash tray that someone’s spilt beer in.I dread to think what these cones do to lungs.These cones are a million times better than those that come with my burner - these actually smell of perfume rather than stale cigarettes. They arrived without any packaging damage so if they hadn't been for myself I would have been able to gift them. The shape of the cones, while very decorative, do mean that sometimes they are hard to balance as they are tall for their base size. Don't let this put you off though!Use these on my back flow ornament they are great, no lack in scent and burn for longer than my original ones. Tidy box to keep them stored and fresh. Just burn the tip for 30 seconds and place down let the smoke do the talking.This product is much better than the ones I received with the holder. At least these don't just smell of burnt wood. I would recommend theseMuch better than cones that came with my backflow burner. Scent is pleasant and long lasting and they burn for about 25 minutes with backflow lasting around 20 minutes.
